What Is That Sound?

A podcast exploring sound by Kenseth Thibideau and Jeff Ray

An exciting announcement for us at What is that Sound? Barbara Dement is a new member in our midst. She was initially an intern from CSUSM and was so good she has become our co-producer. In other news, we have recently launched on Apple Podcast. Link here https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/what-is-that-sound or down below.

In our pilot podcast, Kenseth and Jeff explore the subject of sampling, sound design and synthesis. Jeff sampled some kitchen utensils and doors around the house and processed them through Ableton Live and a few other tools.  He also sampled his four year old twin boys.During the process the song originally written by the twins, “The Dinosaur Song, was produced.
